The event is attended by many familiies from various cultures over the three days, where the congregrations have the opportunity to fulfill their time through spiritual learning and take part in many fun filled activities including exhibitions, Sikhi camp, food stalls and much more.
The main purpose of the event is to bring the community together, where we unite as one to rejoice by reciting prayers, perform Kirtan and serve food (Guru ka Langar) prepared on site by our volunteers (Sevadaars). 

The Trustees of Nanaksar Thath Isher Darbar, their lead sponsors and Guru Nanak Sikh Academy are collectively organising Parkash events, with tremendous effort from the team of organisers lead by the Trustee’s, students, parents, staff, Governors of Guru Nanak Sikh Academy, Nanaksar Primary School and sponsors.
Every year we get support from the whole community and to date it has proven to be very successful. 

All proceeds donated will go towards the projects organised by the Trust, as one of which is providing education to the poor and needy children of the slums at the Garib Niwaj School in New Delhi.
