About Parkash

To uplift, inspire and connect the future generation with Gurbani

‘The God-conscious being is always unstained, like the sun, which gives its comfort and warmth to all. The God-conscious being looks upon all alike, like the wind, which blows equally upon the king and the poor beggar.’

— Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj (Ang 272)

The message of ‘The spiritual journey continues’ is to raise awareness, spreading the universal message of equality preached by the Sikh Guru Ji’s and promote the work of the Founder of Nanaksar Thath Isher Darbar Trust (NTIDT); Sant Baba Amar Singh Ji.

Parkash 2024 event is a festival for us that also marks the commemorating 100 years of Jaito da Morcha & Remembrance of Sikh Matryrs of 1984 by the Sikhs for which thousands of devotees are expected to visit from across the UK and Europe.
Also, this year will be the 15th Anniversary of the Parkash event and NTIDT is humbled and honoured by the support given by the whole community over this journey to date.

This exciting event will begin on Friday 12th July 2024 and conclude Sunday 14th of July 2024 and will be held on the grounds of Gurdwara Garib Niwaj.

After what the whole world has gone through a lot with Pandemic since 2020 and still recovering, we believe this event will also be special giving us all an opportunity to unite again to do more Seva (act of selfless service).

The main purpose of the event is to bring the community together, where we unite as one to rejoice by reciting prayers, perform Kirtan and serve food (Guru ka Langar) prepared on site by our volunteers (Sevadaars).

The Trustees of Nanaksar Thath Isher Darbar, their lead sponsors and Guru Nanak Sikh Academy are collectively organising Parkash events, with tremendous effort from the team of organisers lead by the Trustee’s, students, parents, staff, Governors of Guru Nanak Sikh Academy, Nanaksar Primary School and sponsors. Every year we get support from the whole community and to date it has proven to be very successful.

All proceeds donated will go towards the projects organised by the Trust, as one of which is providing education to the poor and needy children of the slums at the Garib Niwaj School in New Delhi.
